Property dealer arrested in Greater Noida for vandalism

A property dealer was arrested on Tuesday evening following an incident of vandalism in a private hostel in Alpha-I of Greater Noida. According to cops, Bhupinder Singh, a property dealer was arrested around 7:30 pm last evening immediately after the incident was reported.
“Some property dealers entered the hostel premises along with a bunch of local goons claiming that the hostel authorities had not paid the electricity bill. The hostel authorities on the other hand refuted the claim which led to an argument between both the parties. Some bullet shells have been recovered from the spot, which shows that the accused also fired shots” said a senior police officer.
As per the claims by hostel authorities, the property dealers refused to accept the fact that the electricity bill has been paid and hence indulged in vandalizing. According to one of the hosteller, “The goons along with the dealers entered the hostel firing shots in air and also threatened us of dire consequences if they didn’t get money”.
“We have registered a case of attempted murder and vandalizing. Interrogation is going on and we are sure we will nab the other culprits with the help of Bhupinder soon,” said a senior police officer incharge of the case.
