Property dealer arrested in Greater Noida for vandalism

A property dealer was arrested on Tuesday evening following an incident of vandalism in a private hostel in Alpha-I of Greater Noida. According to cops, Bhupinder Singh, a property dealer was arrested around 7:30 pm last evening immediately after the incident was reported.

“Some property dealers entered the hostel premises along with a bunch of local goons claiming that the hostel authorities had not paid the electricity bill. The hostel authorities on the other hand refuted the claim which led to an argument between both the parties. Some bullet shells have been recovered from the spot, which shows that the accused also fired shots” said a senior police officer.

As per the claims by hostel authorities, the property dealers refused to accept the fact that the electricity bill has been paid and hence indulged in vandalizing. According to one of the hosteller, “The goons along with the dealers entered the hostel firing shots in air and also threatened us of dire consequences if they didn’t get money”.

“We have registered a case of attempted murder and vandalizing. Interrogation is going on and we are sure we will nab the other culprits with the help of Bhupinder soon,” said a senior police officer incharge of the case.

In an untoward incident late on Monday night, a 20-year-old Dalit woman was raped at gunpoint in Jhewar area of Greater Noida.

According to the police, the incident took place while the girl came to her parent’s house for the Raksha Bandhan festival.

“The girl was fast asleep on the terrace when two of her neighbors identified as Bunty and Bhura raped her at gunpoint. Shalini (name changed) was alone in the house when the incident took place. Her siblings were sleeping inside the house” said Atul Saxena, Superintendent of Police.

When her parents came back last evening, the girl narrated the whole incident and went to register a complaint in the nearby police station.

Around 10:30 pm last night, the Noida Police found a 35-year-old woman seriously injured outside the sector-18 Metro station. According to police officials, the woman identified herself as Preeti and belongs to Haridwar.

The woman was scared and did not reveal much. Infact whenever a security guard or police official approached her she reacted with fright.

The cops immediately rushed her to the Noida District Hospital but whisked her away after a few hours. “We are trying to figure out as to how the woman landed up near the metro station. She is not in the right frame of mind and is also changing her statements frequently, so we are waiting for her to calm down a bit” said a police official.

According to the doctor who treated the woman before the police took her away, “She claims that four men in a white van pulled her inside and beat her very badly. According to the woman the incident took place near ITO, while the woman was on her way to her sister’s place in sector-16, Noida. Also she has received several internal injuries as well”.

While both SSP (Gautambudh Nagar) A.K Singh and SP (Noida City) H.N Singh remained unavailable for comment, the Delhi Police on the other hand were caught off guard.

“No complaint stating any misbehavior against woman or that a woman has been beaten up by police officials, has been registered till now” said Jaspal Singh, DCP (Central).

The victim was found crying near the metro station around 10:30 pm on Monday night by passersby. The woman refused to respond when they tried to ask her name and address, that’s when the sector-24 police station was informed.

Late on Sunday night, a person was injured in an accidental firing at a bar in Noida.

According to the police, the incident took place late last night in Vinni Bar of sector-18 when a pistol accidentally slipped out from a man’s pocket and the trigger got pulled when he passed the nearby table.

Sachin, a 26-year-old HCL employee who was having dinner at the table there was hit by the bullet and was rushed by the authorities to Kailash hospital.His condition is said to be critical.

The owner of the pistol fled immediately after the incident and a search is on to nab him.

11-day-old girl killed by tantric in Noida

An 11-day-old baby was allegedly killed by a tantric in Sector 9, Noida on Thursday night after he beat her up in the name of treatment.

Sughandha, the deceased, was born on August 15 at the district hospital and had developed some problem on her legs due to which she was hospitalized at Kalavati hospital for five days. According to her parents she became sick on the night of August 25 following which they took her to a tantric.

The police stated that Sughandha’s father Rajesh called the tantric Rajkumar who hit the baby in order to cure her. The baby’s condition declined rapidly and doctor’s could not save her.

A hunt for the tantric is on and a case of murder has been registered by the sector 20 police.

A speeding car turned turtle in Greater Noida killing two people on the spot and injuring three others critically.

The incident took place around midnight on the Noida- Dadri road near Kulesara police post. Five students including two women were in the vehicle when it crashed into a divider, flipped and landed on the opposite side.

They were rushed to Kailash Hospital where doctors declared Aligarh resident Savita Gupta (23) and Jayash Bapna (21) from Pune dead.

While two of the victims are said to be critical, the third was rushed to Fortis Hospital by his family members.

According to Greater Noida Superintendent of Police Atul Saxena, the post mortem will reveal the cause of the accident though alcohol is not being ruled out as of now.

A mini school bus rammed into another bus in Greater Noida on Wednesday leaving two children hurt.

The bus belonging to Greater Valley Public School hit a stationary Dharam Public School bus head-on in the Gamma II area. The impact of the collision threw two children off their seats due to which they sustained minor injuries.

The injured children were rushed to Kailash hospital and were discharged later after first aid.

According to Narendra Bhadana, coordinator of Dharam Public School, the other driver did not see the parked bus as he was talking over the phone.

The boundary wall of Mayawati’s Memorial Park in Noida was damaged when a truck rammed into it in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to the police, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle after he swerved to avoid hitting a car. The driver slammed on the brakes too late and crashed into the wall of the park.

Police have arrested the truck driver and have charged him with rash and negligent driving and causing damage to property.

A domestic help in Noida was awarded life imprisonment by a fast track court for murdering her employer, a retired IAS officer in 2008.

Pooja alias Bisakha had an affair with the deceased, 75-year- old Raghunandan Prasad, and threatened to expose their relationship if her demands were not met. Although Prasad fired her, he continued to pay her a monthly sum to keep her quiet.

However, in July 2008 he was found dead in his sector 24 apartment. Pooja, who confessed to strangulating the man to death, was awarded life imprisonment by Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, Mohammad Ibrahim on Tuesday.

Woman found dead under mysterious circumstances in Noida


After giving birth to a baby boy and leaving the hospital within three hours, a 35-year-old- woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Noida.

The woman forcibly left the hospital premises after finding out that her husband had taken the baby boy to another hospital as he had developed some complications.

Brijban Yadav admitted his wife Usha who was working with at a company in sector-58, to ESI hospital on Saturday, as she was in labour.

“After the birth of the baby at 10:30 am in the ESI hospital doctors referred the baby to Pushpanjali Hospital in Ghaziabad as the baby boy developed some complications. When I returned in the evening I found my wife to be missing” said Yadav.

In defense, the Director of ESI Hospital KBS Sarang said that Usha was unwavering in her demand to go home and after an hour of futile counseling, the staff made her sign a Left Against Medical Advice (LAMA) clause.

However, Yadav also added that the hospital authorities failed to contact him despite the fact that he left his contact number and details with them.

He lodged an FIR with the sector-24 police station and a probe has been ordered into the case.
