indian-dogsGreatly concerned and working against the cruelty done to animals, the ‘People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) has appealed to the people at large to adopt Indian dogs instead of buying dogs of expensive foreign breed from pet shop.

Anuradha Sawhney, India chief of the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals’, who was in Lucknow recently, said that Indian dogs or dogs of the indigenous breed are highly adaptable and quick learners.

Besides being free from many healths and behavioural problems the Indian dogs make wonderful and loyal companions.

The best thing is that these dogs become the best friends, if they are welcomed in the family.

The PETA chief said that homeless dogs all across India were fighting for their lives and they need urgent human help.
