Noida: The Noida Authority has planned its twin projects to develop a flyover and an underpass at the busiest intersection in Sector 37, just in front of the Sector 44 petrol pump. It will provide a hassle-free drive to the commuters to reach their destinations soon. The project is expected to complete by next year with a deadline of October 2012.

"The project is at an advanced stage and will complete well ahead of schedule," said a senior Noida Authority official. In order to ensure smooth traffic flow, the Authority undertook this 24-month twin infrastructure project by the end of February 2012. "Initially, the deadline for this project was October 2012, but work is progressing at a fast pace and we hope to complete it at least eight months ahead of schedule," said the authority official.
Currently, commuters are forced to take detours from this intersection due to the construction activity. Traffic at this intersection comes to a standstill during peak hours Noida Authority as four major roads coming from different directions converge here.
Hundreds of vehicles flowing in from Delhi from the Atta market, via the toll bridge or the service road, as well as from Kalindi Kunj use this junction. Vehicles coming in to Noida from Dadri road also use this route. "Sometimes, traffic comes to a standstill for more than 20 minutes at this intersection before I can move towards my office in Sector 51," said Rohit Tyagi, who travels from Delhi to his office using the Kalindi Kunj route.
