Noida: The Residents of Sector-46 will not need to park their vehicles just outside their houses in the near future. For the first time ever, city’s community centre is going to be equipped with underground parking facility. Construction work of community and parking lot is in full swing. There will be space available with the capacity of around 100 cars in underground parking.
Noida Authority has started constructing community centre two and a half months ago. The design of community centre includes an underground parking space, catering to thousands of residents who now have to park their vehicles just outside their houses creating a traffic chaos in sector. The deadline for the completion of community centre and parking sets for March 2013. Around one thousand cars can easily be parked at the underground parking.
Anil Misra, president of Sec-46 RWA, said, “Sector-46 came into being in 2006, since then there has not been built community centre. We have been taking up this issue with the authority for the years. Residents have no option, but to move to expensive banquet halls. Now, sector’s residents will soon have their community centre with underground parking facility.” Residents welcomed the move of Authority for erecting underground parking lot with community centre. “Making an underground parking lot with community centre is a welcome step. This will certainly cater to residents. Many times, residents get involved in arguing each other over parking issue, and fight often takes an ugly turn,” said Mukesh Sharma, a resident of Sec-46.
RWA will make community centre Air-conditioned
RWA plans to equip community center with Air-conditioned on their own after completing the course of construction work. After handing over community centre to RWA, the meeting will be called for taking the decision on AC installation.
