In an attempt to find an answer mind starts going to the technicality aspects until one looks around and realize that it is a power cut that has done a trick. The residents of Noida now need to be prepared for this exercise as summer couple with 22O KV sub-station installation will shun them of two hours of mechanical breeze coming from fan. Confirming this Mr. A. P. Mishra, Chief Engineer (UPPCL), said “The power cut has become inevitable to meet additional commitments of other sectors in spite of the installation of new 220 KV sub-station.” The cuts will take place in residential and institutional sectors, said the Chief Engineer.

He, however, maintained that the power cuts, imposed on all categories of consumers, were only tentative and would be reviewed. The timings of power cut in all the sectors have been decided and follwoing will be the rostering schedule:
1. 10 am to 12 noon slotted for Sector 16 A, 50, 51, 17, Atta, 82, 92, 93, Union Vihar, Maharishi Ashram, and Sector 46, 47, 48, 105 and 108;
2. 12 noon to 2:00 pm Sectors 16 A, 52, 53, 54, 61, 71, 93, 132, 135 and 142, Logics Park, and Sadarpur Housing Society;
3. 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sectors 31, 36, 55, 56, Rajat Vihar, Sector 1, 39, 40, 41, 49 and posh market of Sector 18;
4. 4: 00 pm to 6:00 pm Sectors 20, 26, 71, 72, 73, 66, 67, 68, 119, 122, 28, 29, 30, 37, 1, 27 and HCL;
5. 6:00 pm to 8: pm Sector 126 and 127 would have no power.

Chief Engineer AP Mishra said that due to rise in the temperature the power consumption has increased, which is causing power cuts. Unless new notification the power cut will remain enforced till June 30 from Monday to Saturday.
