Noida: The 33rd edition of Asia largest Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair (IHGF), the four-day-long flagship event of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), will get underway from February 18, 2012 at the world class venue of India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway.
The organisers are expecting more than 5000 foreign buyers from over 30 countries to source their requirements from a wide range of eco-friendly products showcased by about 2300 exhibitors from all over India under one-roof spread over 100,000 sq. meters world class venue of India Expo Centre & Mart at Greater Noida Expressway.
The mega event will mainly focus on eco-friendly products made out of different raw material base like wood, metal, cane and bamboo, textiles made of natural fibers, wool, silk, jute, coir, stone, leather, terracotta, lacquer and using vegetable dyes. Over 950 product lines, styles and designs will be on display.
Chairman of the Council, Mr. Arvind Vadhera said, “Since its inception in 1994, IHGF has not only enabled Indian exporters in large numbers to participate in the show and secure orders but has also acquired the reputation of ‘One Stop Sourcing Event’ amongst the overseas buying community and ‘most effective marketing medium’ amongst Indian exporting community. IHGF also plays a vital role in increasing the foreign exchange earnings”.
The IHGF is organized two times a year viz. February and October, known as Spring and Autumn Fairs respectively.
