First of its kind thoracic spine surgery in Noida
Noida: A 32-year-old woman was being operated under thoracic spine surgery as she has poorly damaged her spine. Dr. D. Mukherjee, neurosurgeon at Ojjus Medicare and his colleagues performed a surgery. Akbar Wani, CEO of the Hospital, said in a press conference on Wednesday for the first time in the city that such a unique surgery was done. Jyoti Bala fell from the terrace at a height of 12 feet about 15 days ago and badly injured her spine.
It was detected that she faced arms, legs and chest injuries in addition to his spinal cord fractured in two places at the dorsal level. The pain was unbearable as she had deficiency of calcium in body in which inserting the screw was a huge problem. It took big struggle to fit 8 screws in bone which helped her not only from the unbearable pain of spinal cord but also a part of the body got rid of the stroke.
