Noida: The Election Commission has turned strict on the police personals, those who do not perform their duties properly and try to avoid them. The commission has decided to visually record the police personals, who board the bus from the police line in the name of duty and get down from the bus in between.

Jyoti Narayan, DIG/SSP has ordered all the in-charge to strictly follow the model code of conduct in the monthly crime review meeting at the police control room held on Monday. In the meeting he also emphasized on the security checks at the borders and ordered to put barriers at the border areas and to step up the security to put curb on the smuggling of alcohol in the city.

Jyoti said, “About 700 police personals from the district will reach Sitapur for the second phase of elections. The personals will be travelling by buses which will leave from the police lines to reach Sitapur. A video will be shot at the police line only, before the bus leaves for Sitapur. A surprise video will be shot in the bus during the journey and a final video will be shot at the destination to check the number of police personals. Strict actions will be taken against the personals who leave the bus and do not perform their duties properly and come late.”
