newzstreet started as a vision to provide the hyper-local information to every neighbourhood of a city in 2009. Since then it has made a significant progress and today, the newzstreet.com is establishing itself as country`s first true people’s online neighbourhood newspaper.
newzstreet is, at present, reaching out to community of Noida and Lucknow, enabling them to write, inform, share and exchange news, information, videos, images, views and opinions about their neighbourhood events, happenings and people with the ability to search and navigate a news event by location and category, to share and to have a discussion around it.
newzstreet is a platform where individuals from neighbourhood and the city share what is happening at their location at a particular point in time. newzstreet brings together multiple voices or points of view via news stories, videos, images, views, opinions and blogs to provide context and build momentum. newzstreet is an open and highly relevant online neighbourhood newspaper site “moderated by community and newzstreet moderators”.
As per Google Analytics the newzstreet has curently over 30000 readers and our daily newsletter goes to over 4000 subscribers both in Noida and Lucknow.
After the success in Noida and Lucknow newzstreet has plans to launch online neighbourhood newspaper across 50 cities in India over a period of next three years.

Mukesh Kacker, IAS
Chairman & Managing Director, Kacker & Daughter Infrastructure Private Ltd
Mr. Mukesh Kacker, a 1979 batch of Indian Administrative Service of Madhya Pradesh Cadre, resigned as Joint Secretary, Chemicals and Fertilizers in the year 2007 to start his own infrastructure venture. During his tenure of service he served as District Magistrate, Commissioner, Principal Secretary in the state before he moved to the Centre. He served as Director at the Centre and his last posting was Joint Secretary, Chemicals and Fertilizers before he quit IAS. He was on the Board of Directors of many Public Sector Enterprises as a nominee Director and amongst many prestigious assignments he served on the Board of Hindustan Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited for a period of three years and played a significant role in the expansion and profitability of the company. At present he is the Chairman and Managing Director, Kacker and Daughter Infrastructre Limited, a company that is advising many big size companies on infrastructure projects in India.
J.S.Yadav
Former Director, Indian Institute of Mass Communication
Prof. Yadava, (b 1942) has a doctorate from Delhi University, is well known as a specialist on communication policy and planning, political communication, international communication and development communication. Prof. J S Yadava joined the Institute as a Professor in Communication Research. He was Director of IIMC from 1988 to June 1999. He has undertaken many research and consultancy assignments for UNESCO, UNICEF, UNFPA, ESCAP and WHO. He has also served on many committees on the media. A widely traveled person, Dr. Yadava has published more than 150 research and popular articles in professional journals and magazines and five communication series for the Institute. He has edited five books and organised and participated in a large number of seminars and conferences in India and abroad.
Arvind Kejriwal
Magsaysay Award Recipient
Arvind Kejriwal is the eminent Indian leader and activist who was awarded the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership for his contributions to the landmark Right To Information law in India and for “activating the right to information movement at the grassroots”. His work has empowered Indian citizens to fight corruption and resulted in community-led efforts that have uncovered massive laundering of funds and corruption in various Government projects.
After he graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (class of 1989) Arvind became an officer in the Indian civil services. He was serving as Joint Commissioner in the Indian Revenue Services when he resigned to devote his time fully to fight corruption in India. He founded an Indian based citizens’ movement Parivartan (in 2000) that has been fighting for just, transparent and accountable governance. His other honors include the Ashoka Fellowship (since 2004) and the Satyendra Dubey Award from IIT Kanpur (2005).

Alok is a media industry veteran with almost three decades of experience in newspaper and electronic media. He worked with some of the leading media houses like Amrita Bazar Patrika, The Times of India, Eenadu group, Lokmat Times and Businessworld or almost 15 years before he pioneered into the electronic media. He began his television news career with India’s first broadcast station Zee Network as the Editor for Zee News, the first news bulletin in the private broadcasting domain. Under his Editorship, Zee News became the first 24 hour news channel in the year 1999.
Alok played a key role in Star TV’s New Media, Convergence & Internet strategy as Editor, News & Current Affairs and successfully planned 14 news and current channels on the IPTV platform. As an Executive Producer of the TV Today Network he handled News Operations and also launched English news channel The Headlines Today. As an Executive Producer Special Projects he launched Speed news channel ‘Tez’ and metro news channel ‘Delhi Aaj Tak’. He also conceptualized and launched TV Today Media Institute successfully. Alok has successfully steered Triveni Group’s entry into broadcast media domain by launching one national news and five regional news channels under the brand name ‘Voice of India’ from conceptualization to the launch in record 10 months. He led a team of 300 broadcast professionals.
Known for his strategic brilliance and operational excellence in the media business – print, electronic & new media, with out-of-the-box thinking Alok is known for his futuristic thinking and for uncanny ability to think original and translate ideas to reality with ease. Alok has worked as a member on the panel of UNDP’s Cross Border Media initiative, authored a book on Television news, and innumerable news reports and hundreds of articles and editorials. He has been associated with some of the leading Media schools like Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Indraprastha university, Delhi university, Shimla university, Guru Jambeshwar university to name a few. Alok has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication and Advance Certificate in Journalism from Sofia, Bulgaria. He serves on the board of SOS Villages of India and some of the leading new media companies.
